Instructions to Contributors
Articles
for the Journal should be submitted before the end of January for consideration
for the following issue. Lengthy contributions via hard copy only are preferably
printed or typed on one side only, and with ample margins (minimum 30mm). Articles
may be accepted on floppy disk, PC-compatible (contact editor beforehand, but
to guide you we use Microsoft Word. Save any file as either a Word document, Text
only, or Rich Text Format type. This last is especially important if you use Lotus,
otherwise files are filled with pages of incredibly irritating coding. A clearly
printed article can be scanned. Avoid fancy formatting, tabs, etc, as these will
just have to be stripped out). You can also, at incredible convenience to everyone, e-mail your item to the editor.
It speeds up the rejection process too.
The
editor welcomes material from both members and non-members, with priority being
given to articles of Scottish Mountaineering content. Photographs are also welcome,
and should be good quality colour slides. All textual material should be sent
to the Editor, Charles J. Orr, 28 Chesters View, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian EH19 3PU
e-mail: charliejorr@hotmail.com.
Photographic material should be sent direct to the Editor.
