We have been invited to join the CAF's "Break the Ice" meet south of Briançon in the Ecrins. Staying at the CAF chalet in Vallouise-Pelvoux, the famous sunny Briançon weather should offer six days of world-class snow and ice climbing in local venues such as Fournel and Feissinieres, with other areas only a short distance away.
For 2022, it's a return to the Reaburn Hut for the ski mountaineering meet. Well placed for local hills, the location allows trips both east and west to take advantage of the best snow cover.
