Update to 1998/1999 Report

The Trustees met on 30th September. During the course of that meeting support was given to the following:

An Teallach Mountaineering Club for the upgrading/renovation of Strawberry Cottage, Glen Affric
the Jonathan Conville Winter Course 1999/2000
the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds - Cairngorm Plateau Survey
Footpath Survey Report to be carried out at Corie an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe, by Martin McCrorie.

Tom Prentice is in the process of taking over from Donald Bennet as Publications Manager. Tom Prentice has been apppointed as a Director of the Publications Company.

The Munro CD Rom publication continues to achieve excellent sales. An upgrade incorporating improvements recommended by Ken Crocket is expected to be ready early next year.

D C Page, C D Grant and S Murdoch retired by rotation as Trustees with effect from the date of the Scottish Mountaineering Club AGM in December. The new Trustees appointed are Richard K Bott, Gillian E Irvine and Grahame S Nicoll.
